Produkt anteckningar

Julie (Jess Weixler), an innocent young woman, meets a mysterious man, who turns out to be a famous American novelist; Max Oliver (Willem Dafoe). Devastated by the recent death of his wife - the beautiful dancer Lucia Giordano, who's the subject of Oliver's latest book A WOMAN - Max is rescued out of his

darkness by Julie. He falls in love with her and immediately invites her to go live with him in his beach house in the picturesque Mediterranean village of Salento Italy. Cautioned by her dearest friend Natalie, Julie goes with him anyway, while nursing her fear of being overshadowed by the memory of Max's dead wife. Julie's insecurity quickly turns into paranoia: the more she learns about Lucia Giordano the more she obsesses over her. Even Natalie's attempt to help her friend drives Julie deeper into jealousy and madness. In the end only Max may be able to save her.
