True Tales of Dereliction by Ron Tool and The Capitalists is the first solo recording by Detroit Punk pioneer, writer, and vocalist Ron Tool (John E. Hett) of The C.I.A., Granfalloon, and The Teenage Alcoholics. Gone is the two-guitar attack and, in it's place, Ron Tool has brought Detroit Punk veterans and newcomers armed with acoustic six-string, 12-string, and classical guitars, bass guitar, banjo, sitar, Hammond organ, cello, drums, and bongos. Don't forget the Les Paul: It really adds corn for texture! This unique instrumentation blends raw ballad and shanty, aggressive folk-punk, and laid-back humorous singer-songwriter true tales together in an almost unimaginable sonic landscape. The subject matter ranges from serious to humorous. The Capitalists shift styles from one song to the next, allowing their music to translate to music lovers of all genres without being contrived or overproduced. True Tales of Dereliction ends with "Perceptron", an electronica tour de force, by Detroit DJ Scoob and Ron Tool. This electronic nightmare is our homage to Frank Zappa's "Return of the Son of Monster Magnet". "Perceptron" is totally incongruous with the rest of the album. The Corporate Mission of Ron Tool and The Capitalists: Exceed the expectations of our listeners with our scientifically engineered and hand-fornicated tunes using bold new appendages to deliver innovative sounds and all-natural financial and fluid results to our label while under-promising and over-delivering a proactive, pungent, customer-oriented, market-driven, erect and potent product. Boing.
