This album presents an edgier sound than my previous recordings while still maintaining the all-important smooth and earthy elements of blues and jazz. You will want to dance the blues, swing, or samba while falling in love with the songs of Cole Porter, Burt Bacharach and Hal David, Miles Davis, George and Ira Gershwin, and other renowned composers. I have chosen these songs for their deep, rich lyrics, expressive melodies and mood. This has a little something for everyone. The album features Terry Lower (piano), Sam Weber (bass) and Evan Hyde (drums). It also has appearances of guest soloists Michael Hyde (guitar), John Gist (sax), Rob Smith (trumpet), Rob Mulligan (percussion), Charlie Hoats (bass on Track 10), Rick Chyme (verse), Eric Tanner (violin), Chris Martin (violin), Leslie Van Becker (viola) and Steve VanRavenswaay (cello).
