Anne Harris is continuing to make quite a name for herself in Chicago's vibrant indie music scene with a growing body of loyal fans who are drawn to her passionate and captivating performances and evocative songs. She could rightly be termed a singer-songwriter, but if that title elicits images of strumming a guitar in front of a microphone, better think again. An energetic, charismatic performer and engaging vocalist, Anne complements her inventive fiddle playing with turns on mandolin and djembe drum, offering enticing glimpses of her varied musical influences which range from folk-rock to Celtic to Afrobeat and beyond.
