Altarcall was created in late 2006. The band started out in the small towns of yakima valley, Washington. The band was founded in granger, Washington, by saray martinez (cardoza at the time), eli martinez (lead guitar), and ociel saenz (drums). At first the band would play in local churches for the most part. After playing in the yakima area for about half a year, the band expanded and introduced other local musicians into the band. Representing Toppenish came brenda martinez (backup vocals), who happens to be eli's sister. Frank lozano (bass) then was introduced into the band alongside Israel medina (rythm guitar) who represent the towns of Sunnyside and Grandview. After writing a few original songs, Altarcall felt like it was time to hit the studio and made the trip up to Eddie Ramirez, a solo artist and studio recorder, in Spokane. With the release of the first ep, the band is looking for greater things to come. The band currently stands at 7 artists strong, with the late addition of esteban urbina (solo guitar) who comes out of Wapato, Washington. The band firmly belives that without the help of God, none of this would have been possible.
