Version 3.7 is the first solo album by Alain Tremblay. It features genre defying instrumental music, with influences from rock, electronica and jazz. Each musical piece explores a different soundscape, sometimes with long guitar or piano improvisations, always with a taste for originality. Every instrument is played by the artist, with the exception of some vocal excerpts from commercial sound libraries. The arrangements are a mix of "real" instruments (guitar, piano, drums) with synthesizer programming and sound textures from varied sources. The end result is a unique experience that will please those on a quest for something different, yet still musical.
